South East Territory

Account Executive Summary:

Achieve budgeted sales objectives within the designated sales region by cultivating and sustaining working relationships with a wide range of key assigned customers and partners. Key responsibilities include managing a book of business with revenues between $5-10M, installing new products at customer locations, and overseeing projects to meet strategic business and operational goals. The AE will also analyze sales data, meet established KPIs, and build strong, trust-based customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Maintain profitable sales within company expectations.
Develop and maintain working relationships with assigned and prospective customers.
Penetrate existing accounts, develop new business and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within customer base and/or assigned territory.
Develop and manage annual forecast for assigned accounts using accurate projections.
Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings, including market pricing and sales.
Report and update systems according to customer contacts, orders and forecasts using tools such as: SAP, BI, and CRM systems.
Ability to analyze customer trends (revenues, volumes, pricing) and provide solutions to reverse gaps or maximize gains.
Maintain frequent and effective communication with management team along with in depth review using weekly and quarterly reports on business activities.
Develop value added propositions to customer base such as good practices to improve efficiencies, hands on training and development and other opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop tools to track the progress of various projects and ensure their successful closure.
Will require and full understanding of company structure, product offerings and competitive marketplace.

Skills:

Solid practical understanding of commercial relationships and sales practices.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Must be an excellent team player, self-starter, and able to multitask effectively.

Education and Experience:

College degree and 5+ years of experience in the meat industry or a related field preferred.
Experience with casing, food packaging, stuffing equipment, and/or meat processing is a definite plus.
Experience with SAP, BI, and CRM systems preferred.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to customer locations to maintain/grow existing business and evaluate opportunities for new business 50%+ of the time by car and plane with overnight stays.

Location Requirements:

The candidate should be located within a few hours' drive of any of the following cities: Atlanta (GA), Birmingham (AL), Chattanooga (TN), Memphis (TN), Nashville (TN), Houston (TX), Columbia (SC), Charlotte (NC), and reasonably close to a major airport.
